Aurora

Aurora Aksnes born 15th June 1996 Stavanger is a Norwegian song writer and singer. Her debut E.P. Running with the Wolves was released by the record label Decca Records in May 2015 getting great reviews from bloggers as well as the press. Half the World Away - by the Oasis - for John Lewis' Christmas ad as well as Nature Boy - by Nat King Cole - are already two covers worth noting that the singer has created. Katy Perry, who endorsed the song Runaway from her side, has given it some more recognition. Enjoy her day. Aurora Aksnes' first musical moment was when she stumbled across a miniature piano in her basement, and being fascinated at the sound it made. Jan Oystein Aksnes was her father. The Aksnes family encouraged her to not to do music just for fun or to aid in growing, but that she was encouraged to explore it. As a result, she began writing the music she composed herself. She has cited renowned songwriters Leonard Cohen and Bob Dylan as influences as well as an appreciation for the style of Bjork. After her mother said that the songs she wrote were not meant to make her famous however, but to encourage individuals to recognize their own value and impact to the world, she began performing them publicly. When she was six she started playing the piano. At age nine, she began writing her own songs. Her family didn't know until the age of fourteen. There was no way she could have imagined to turn into Aurora. Her sole passion is to compose music. She believes that music can help people feel more relaxed.
